LUDINGTON — The following is a report of activity this week in 79th District Court:

– Joshua Marquese Deshong, 26, 3174 Roosevelt Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty on Jan. 29 of impaired driving. He was sentenced to one day in jail and 93 days discretionary jail for one year; he must attend the next session of the Victims Impact Panel; must receive outpatient treatment and must pay fines and costs of $1,145.

– Scott Martin Stillson, 41, 201 E. Fifth St., Scottville, was found guilty on Jan. 29 for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Sentence: two days jail, 93 days discretionary jail for one year;  must attend Victims Impact Panel; outpatient treatment; $1,115 fines/costs.

– Trevor James Coon, 19, 333 Eighth St., Marion, was found guilty on Jan. 30 for domestic violence. Sentence: Six days jail with 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no contact with victim(s); $530.

– Dana Kathleen Kirker, 30, 9097 E. Berger Rd., Branch, was found guilty on Jan. 15 for retail fraud second degree. Sentence: 270 days jail with one year discretionary jail for two years; released to Great Lakes Recovery when bed becomes available; $760.

– Aaron James Hoekwater, 28, 120 Riverside Dr., Hart, was found guilty on Jan. 29 for impaired driving. Sentence: One day jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Victims Impact Panel; must attend alcohol highway safety education; $1,145.

– Chad Everett Loper, 31, 352 Gibson Rd., Branch, was found guilty on Jan. 29 of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by liquor. Sentence: Two days jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; outpatient substance abuse counseling; must attend Victims Impact Panel; must attend alcohol highway safety education; $1,145.

– Sam Adam Johnson, Jr., 45, 4064 Athens St., Muskegon, was found guilty on Jan. 29 for OUIL. Sentence: Two days jail; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Victims Impact Panel; must seek outpatient treatment; $1,245. A charge of operating a vehicle with blood content of .17 or more was dismissed.

– Shelby Vaughn Grant, 17, 506 E. Danaher St., Apt. 4, Ludington, was found guilty on Jan. 29 for retail fraud second degree. Sentence: 60 days jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; must complete economic crime program; $580. A charge of obstructing police by disguise was dismissed.

– Alina Mary-Ann Palmer, 23, 1219 Hanna Ave., Traverse City, was found guilty on Jan. 29 for controlled substance use of narcotics. Sentence: One year discretionary jail for two years; must follow recommendations of the CPS agency in Grand Traverse County; suspended license for 180 days and restricted for 150 days; $580. A charge of controlled substance possession was dismissed.

– Branden Lee Bryant, 23, 5000 S. Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township, was found guilty on Jan. 29 for malicious destruction of personal property and operating an off road vehicle while under the influence of liquor. Sentence: two days jail for each count; 93 days discretionary jail for two years for first count and one year discretionary jail for two years for second count; must enroll in substance abuse counseling with community mental health; must seek outpatient treatment; $1,825. A charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated second offense was dismissed.

– Joseph Kevin Southward, 20, 2162 S. Ravenna Rd., Ravenna, was found guilty on Jan. 29 of OUIL underage. Sentence: $670; must seek outpatient treatment; alcohol highway safety eduction; must attend Victims Impact Panel; must perform 36 hours community service.
