Chamber offers workplace wellness workshop

LUDINGTON — On Tuesday, November 13th, the Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce along with the Ludington SCORE Chapter will be presenting Wellness in the Workplace, a seminar for businesses on how to get started or improve upon workplace wellness programs for employees. The seminar will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the chamber conference room. A reservation to attend is required.
Presenters and panelists include Sarah Oleniczak, District Health Department #10; Alan Neushwander, Memorial Medical Center and Win With Wellness; Vic Burwell, FloraCraft; Cal DeKuiper, Ludington Area Schools; Jacob Seng, NorthStar Chiropractic; and Julie Page-Smith, West Shore Community College.

Attendees will learn about a mini-grant opportunity through District  Health Department #10 for developing and implementing a new worksite wellness program. Funding for the project is available through a grant from the Michigan Department of Community Health in partnership with the Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan for Michigan.
Cost to attend is $5 for Chamber of Commerce members and $10 for non-members.
