Ludington artist in ArtPrize top 100

GRAND RAPIDS — Ludington artist Dave Masten’s entry, Wired, is in the top 100 at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids with over 1,500 artists exhibiting and over 230,000 votes cast to date. The first round of voting continues until midnight Saturday. “This has been an absolutely wild experience,” Dave posted on his Facebook page. “If you can, you’ve got to see ArtPrize. What a great family and community event.”

ArtPrize has become the world’s largest art competition with a total of $560,000 in total prizes. The winners are selected by popular vote.

Dave’s entry is a copper wire sculpture he started creating while taking an art class at West Shore Community College last spring. To read more about Wired click on the link below. Wired is on display at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum downtown Grand Rapids.
