Nellis to run for Probate Judge

Ludington attorney Jeff Nellis has announced he is running for Mason County Probate Judge. Nellis has started a Facebook page announcing the candidacy.

According to the Facebook page, Nellis has been practicing law since 1988 and has been in Ludington sine 1993.

Jeff and his wife Debbie live in Hamlin Township. They have been married for 18 years and have two children.

He is a graduate of University of Michigan and Wayne State University law school. Nellis is a member of the Ludington Area Schools board of education, served on the boards of the West Shore Chapter of American Red Cross, Region IV Community Services (now known as COVE women’s shelter). He has served as Scottville city attorney and has taught at West Shore Community College.

Mark Raven currently serves as probate judge. Mason County Press has not verified if Raven is running for re-election.
