WSCC hosts high school student art exhibit

VICTORY TWP. – The West Shore Community College Art Department will host the 14th annual Regional High School Art Competition and Exhibit beginning March 8, in the college’s Manierre Dawson Gallery. An artist reception will be held on Sun., March 11, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.  Student artwork will be displayed through March 22. 

 

Sponsored by the West Shore Community College Foundation and the WSCC Art Department, ribbons will be awarded for first and second place in jewelry, sculpture, pottery, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, video, textiles, and mixed media.Area high schools have been invited to enter ten of their students’ best works and those included in the exhibit have been selected by high school art teachers. The Manierre Dawson Gallery is located in the Arts and Sciences Center. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
