Employment Opportunity: Zoning Field Person.

The County of Mason is seeking a qualified individual for a seasonal part-time position of Zoning Field Person. Under the supervision of the Zoning and Building Director, the applicant inspects for zoning compliance, enforces junk ordinances, and works directly with landowners to correct ordinance violations.  The position responsibilities include maintaining files, detailed written documentation, investigating and evaluating complaints, issuing civil infractions, and problem solving. Excellent communication and conflict negotiation skills are needed to be successful in the position.  High school diploma or G.E.D. required. One year related enforcement experience desired. Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record required.
