Hamlin Township considers wage increase

HAMLIN TWP. — The Hamlin Township Board of Trustees talked briefly about increasing the wages for township employees, including themselves, during their monthly meeting Thursday. “It’s time,” said trustee Larry Rees. “At least cost of living.” Michigan’s suggested cost of living increase is 2.4 percent. Hamlin fire department receives grant

HAMLIN TWP. — The Hamlin Township Fire Department has received a $1,799.99 grant from the Great Lakes Energy People Fund. The grant will be used to purchase a Honda 5,000 watt generator, which will be located in the department’s command rehabilitation trailer. Franz bill creates conditional liquor license

LANSING — New businesses and ownership transferees would have the option of purchasing a conditional liquor license to allow the sale of alcohol temporarily while the state reviews its permanent documentation under House Bill 4277, sponsored by Rep.
