Funeral for Chief Allison will be Saturday

The funeral for Custer Fire Chief John Allison will be Saturday, Oct. 19 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pere Marquette Township. Visitation is from 1:30 to 3 p.m. with the funeral beginning at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. For food donations contact Scottville United Methodist Church 231-757-3567. Funeral arrangements are by Stephens Funeral Home.

LUDINGTON — A 62-year-old Ohio woman was saved from Lake Michigan this morning after she fell off the breakwater.
