SCOTTVILLE — Mason County Central’s athletic department recently purchased new sideline chairs thanks to the financial support of the county’s three new car dealerships: Great Lakes Ford, Urka Auto Center and Watson Chrysler. MCC forensics team places at state competition.

The Mason County Central Forensics Team, under the direction of Tom Richert, and Sean Carr brought 28 students to state finals at Oakland University last weekend.  The team experienced a two day elimination round process in B, C/D competition. MCC qualified 10 of 19 events in semi-finals and seven events in finals, which are the top six in the state.…

MCC forensics team wins Birch Run invite.

The Mason County Central High School forensics team recently competed at the Birch Run Invitational tournament. The team placed first overall with a total of 236 points, out of 19 teams. Of 24 entries, 10 broke semifinals, and of that 10, nine made it to finals. Kaci Clayton won first in prose, with a perfect score of 8/800 out of 23 competitors.…
