Weather advisory in effect: 4-6 inches expected

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a winter weather advisory effective 7 a.m. Tuesday until 1 p.m. Wednesday. The forecast calls for 4 to 6 inches of snow with visibility reduced to half mile at times on Tuesday. The Pere Marquette River at Scottville Riverside Park is under a flood advisory until 1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17.
