LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in 79th District Court:

– Jimmy Wayne Walls, 51, of 3747 N. Taylor Rd., Sheridan Township, pleaded no contest Dec. 5 to second-offense operating while impaired (OWI) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend impact weekend; must complete substance abuse disorder program; no drugs/alcohol; must attend AA two times per month for two years; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and $1,730 in fines/costs.

– David Brian Richmond, 27, of 403 S. Madison St., Apt. 2, Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 29 to disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must have a domestic violence evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; subject to weekly drug tests; and $285 in fines/costs. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed.

– Theresa Jean Gluc, 52, of 2479 Wesley, Muskegon, pleaded guilty Nov. 29 to second-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year and $640.75 in fines/costs/restitution.

– Daniel John Horowski, 33, of 3028 Piney Ridge Rd., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 29 to third-degree retail fraud (shoplifting) and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must continue outpatient counseling at Community Mental Health (CMH); and $665 in fines/costs. May perform 68 hours of community service within seven months in lieu of fines/costs.

– Jesse Allen Outwater, 32, of 313 N. Emily St., Ludington, pleaded no contest Nov. 30 to OWI and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victims impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must obtain substance abuse counseling; and $1,070 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of refusing a PBT, transporting an open intoxicant, and failure to stop at the scene of an accident were dismissed.

– Autumn Lanne Jourden, 25, of 4309 Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded no contest Nov. 29 to OWI and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend victims impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; subject to random drug tests; must continue current counseling with CMH; and $1,560 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed.

– Richard Allen Carr, 44, of 2868 N. Lakeshore Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 30 to burning without a permit and was sentenced to pay $275 in fines/costs.

– Dakota Isiah Ramirez, 22, of 3677 S. Pere Marquette Highway, #14, Summit Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 29 to failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $575 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

– Robert Lance Lester, 49, of 1552 4th Ave., Manistee, pleaded guilty Dec. 5 to transporting an uncased bow/firearm in a vehicle and deer hunting without a license and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; hunting privileges revoked until 2019; one year probation; and $505 in fines/costs.

– Brandon Ray Ralston, 31, of 4310 W. Brewer Rd., Owosso, pleaded guilty Nov. 29 to attempted snagging of fish and was sentenced to pay $300 in fines/costs.

– Daniel Joseph Deneau, 38, of 15237 Oak Knoll Dr., Monroe, pleaded guilty Nov. 29 to allowing a minor to hunt deer while unsupervised and failure to validate a deer kill. He was sentenced to pay $470 in fines/costs.

Dismissals

– Clinton Early Seymour, 41, of 5350 W. Hesslund Rd., Pere Marquette Township, had charges of operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more and operating while intoxicated dismissed by Judge Peter Wadel Dec. 2.

– Nicole Deann Pettinato, 37, of 379 ½ Seventh St., Manistee, had a charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended license dismissed Dec. 5. According to court documents, “Interests of justice do not require further prosecution.”

– Diane Lee Luft, 50, of 210 E. State St., Scottville, had a charge of operating a vehicle without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed Dec. 5. According to court documents, “Defendant pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.”

– Annette Lester Delight, 56, of 7216 11 Mile Rd. NE, Rockford, had a charge of third-degree retail fraud dismissed on Dec. 5. According to court documents, “Further prosecution is not in the interest of justice.”

– Charles Douglas Richards, 39, of 5919 Third St., Ludington, had a charge of driving with a suspended license dismissed with prejudice Nov. 29 on the motion of the prosecutor.
