Fin & Feather Club offering steel plate shoots, 3D archery course, CPL class

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Fin & Feather Club is offering l plate shoots, a 3D archery course and a concealed pistol license class this summer. The club is located at 3276 N. Darr Rd.

The steel plate shoot takes place Saturday, July 12 and Saturday, Aug. 9. The shoot is for hand firearms only. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a mandatory safety meeting at 9 a.m. Participants need to bring their own ammunition. For more information, call Frank Koehle at 231-510-5558.

The archery course will be open for shooters on Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The course is located by accessing the gate north of the main entrance on Darr Road. There is a fee of $5 per member and $10 per non-member. Children under the age of 12 are free.

A concealed pistol license (CPL) class will be held on Friday, Aug. 1 and Saturday, Aug. 2. The first segment, Friday, is from 6 to 9:30 p.m. The second segment will take place all day on Saturday. The cost is $50 for club members and $100 for non-members. Register by contacting Jim Glover at 231-907-8330.
