Sally Currier
Sally Louise (Porter) Currier, 71, of Ludington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Sally, affectionally known as Sal, was born on April 21, 1954, in Cadillac, to the late Louie E. Porter and Mary E. Zatarga. On November 14, 1976, she married Virgil Currier Jr.
Throughout her life, Sal pursued her hobbies with passion and dedication. She had a love for the outdoors, often found camping and enjoying nature. Her creative talents were expressed through her beautiful quilting, sewing, and crafting. Sal also took great pleasure in cooking, baking, and canning, sharing her creations with family and friends. Her love for riding her motorcycle showcased her adventurous spirit, and her commitment to charity work reflected her selfless nature. She also enjoying thrifting, finding treasures each time.
Sally is survived by her beloved husband, Virgil C. Currier Jr.; children, Virgil (Jennifer Reed) Currier III, April (Jared) Diepen, and Jack (Suzette) Currier; grandchildren, Francella (Brandon) DeWeerdt, Steven (Paige Wimmer) Card, Cameron (Janie Faultersack) Card, John (Hailey Blohm) Rangel, Jazmine Diepen, Annastazia Currier, Jozlinn Currier, Jack Currier Jr., Hunter Currier, and Maizee Currier; great grandchildren, Leigha Jones-Currier, Peyton Anthony, Ivy Card, Esmeralda Card, Penelope-Ann DeWeerdt, and Avell Card.
Sally was preceded in death by her father, Louie Porter; mother, Mary Zatarga; step father, Richard Zatarga; daughter, Karen Porter; father and mother in-law, Virgil Currier Sr. and Helen Currier; sister in-law, Sharon Suntken; siblings, Karleen Porter, John Porter, and Carl Porter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
