Pat Johnson
Patricia Jean (Sniegowski) Johnson, affectionately known as Pat, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the age of 88 in Ludington, the city where she was born on May 11, 1936. She grew up in Ludington and graduated from Ludington High School in 1954. Patricia dedicated 32 years of her life working as a teacher’s aid, and later advancing to the secretary at Pere Marquette Elementary School, contributing significantly to the educational community.
Patricia’s life was marked by her sweet and caring nature. She had a passion for knitting, gardening, reading, and spending precious moments with her family. She particularly enjoyed planting sunflowers with her grandchildren and was known for her generous spirit, knitting numerous pairs of mittens for the local mitten tree each year.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband of 64 years, Austin David Johnson Jr.; her daughters, Lori (Andy) Riemer, Julie (Gary) Ledger, and Terri (Adam) Dorman; grandchildren, Rachel (Patrick) Owsiak, Ryan (Gabriel) Riemer, Brandon (Christie) Riemer, Blake (Monica Lee) Riemer, Brooke (Evan) Lenz, Haley (RJ) Bosworth, Breanna Ledger, Brennan Ledger, Dan (Tanya) Dorman, and Jamie (Ralph) Warfield; and great-grandchildren, James, Madison, and Luke Owsiak; DeeDee and Loriann Riemer; Liam, Quinn, and Jack Riemer; Caden and Monroe Lenz; Nora Bosworth; and Lila and David Dorman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Astrid Sniegowski, her in-laws, Austin David Johnson Sr. and Maryetta Emma (Eppard) Johnson, and sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Mac) McGinty, Norma (Don) Kissell, Mary Jo (Gary) Robinson.
