LUDINGTON — The following criminal proceedings took place in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Felony Arraignments

Franklin

-Clinton Duane Franklin, 45, of 109 E. Foster St., Ludington, was arrested Oct. 29 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on a felony charge of delivery/manufacturing a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Probable cause hearing: Nov. 10 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $25,000 cash.

Presley

-Brandyn Joseph Presley, 29, of 155 Wildwood Run, Apt. 1, Amber Township, was arrested Oct. 28 by Michigan State Police on a felony charge of first degree criminal sexual conduct (victim under the age of 13). Probable cause hearing: Nov. 10 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000 cash.

Priese

-Anthony Werner Priese, 40, no address listed, was arrested Nov. 1 by SSCENT on felony charges of delivery/manufacturing a controlled substance and fourth offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: Nov. 10 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,000 cash.

 

 

Misdemeanor Arraignments

-Sarah Ann Bonneau, 36, of 600 Sherman Oaks, Apt. 618, Ludington; Oct. 31; LPD; driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial: Nov. 8 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $500 personal recognizance.

-Robert James Lessard, 45, of 710 N. Rowe St., Ludington; Nov. 1; LPD; malicious destruction of personal property. Pretrial: Nov. 8 at 10:15 a.m. Bail: $250 cash.

-Douglas Lee Lemere, 73, of 1447 N. Victory Corner Rd., Victory Township; Nov. 1; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); assault and battery. Pretrial: Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. Bail: $500 personal recognizance. 

-Sean Patrick Wilcox, 50, no address listed; Oct. 30; MCSO; malicious destruction of a building less than $200. Pretrial: Nov. 4 at 9:50 a.m. Bail: $250 cash.

A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. 

Sentencings

-Valentine Alejandro Segura, 24, of 611 E. Dowland St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 2 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to 31 days in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana; subject to random breath tests; must complete SBIRT program at CMH; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of speeding (23 mph over the limit) and refusing a preliminary breath test were dismissed.

-Todd Bernard Gates, 59, of 722 E. Danaher St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 2 to disorderly drunk person and was sentenced to pay $250 in fines/costs. A charge of disorderly person jostling was dismissed.

-Dustin Allen Boerema, 37, of 4140 Windward Forest Trl., Manistee, pleaded guilty Nov. 2 to OWI and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for six months; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; marijuana; subject to random breath tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle was dismissed.

Dismissals

-Alexis Olivia Weathers, 24, of 1857 Kennedy Blvd., Hamlin Township, had a charge of domestic violence dismissed on Nov. 4 after the victim indicated they did not want charges filed and that an assault did not occur.

-Amanda Beth Franklin, 42, of 211 E. Johnson Rd., Custer Township, had a charge of domestic violence dismissed on Nov. 4 due to the victim passing away.

-Zachary Allen Reiss, 20, of 128 W. State St., Scottville, had a charge of breaking & entering dismissed on Nov. 3 after charges were reissued on a felony complaint.
