Squires represents Michigan at DC chiropractor conference

WASHINGTON D.C. — Dr. Lewis Squires recently attended the American Chiropractic Association’s national legislative conference in Washington, D.C. Squires is the elected representative of Michigan’s association. During the conference Squires met with all 14 Michigan state representatives and both senators.

“Our main issues are the healthcare for our military men and women, Veterans Administration issues and commissioning chiropractors as officers, to name a few concerns,” Squires said. “I had 23 other doctors from Michigan join us to help.”

Squires also met with Richard Gephart, former Speaker of the House, and discussed Medicare issues that affect seniors.

Squires is former chairman of the Mason County Board of Commissioners and was recently appointed to the Michigan Board of Chiropractic by Gov. Rick Snyder.

Squires is owner of Squires Family Care Chiropractic in Scottville, where he has practiced for 34 years. He is a member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors and former president of the Michigan Chiropractic Society and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce. Squires also serves on the American Chiropractic Association governor’s advisory cabinet. He attended Jackson Community College and Ferris State University, and holds a medical degree in chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa.
