HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — A 31-year-old Lansing woman “attempted to kick her way out of a patrol car, then reportedly kicked deputies and attempted to bite one” during her arrest Saturday, July 25, at 6:42 a.m. at the Ludington State Park, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

She was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police following a call reporting a “disturbance” at the park. “The female involved attempted to leave in a vehicle prior to the arrival of deputies, but the vehicle became stuck on a concrete parking block,” Sheriff Cole said. During her arrest, she began assaulting the deputies.

She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
