Obituary: Ronald Tuinstra, 69, Ludington.

Ronald W. Tuinstra, 69, died unexpectedly on March 30, 2019.  

Ron was born in Ludington on June 22, 1949, to Lester and Betty Tuinstra.  He was a 1967 graduate of Ludington High School and then attended Grand Rapids Community College where he graduated with an associate’s degree in welding.  After college Ron moved out West, living in Idaho and California where he worked as a carpenter and enjoyed gold prospecting. He moved back to Ludington in the early 90s and worked for the Carrom Company, retiring in 2014.  

Ron enjoyed many interests, including woodworking, photography, biking, reading and spending time at the beach.  

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Randy.  

He is survived by his brother David of Ludington and his sisters Lynn (Dave) Woodworth of Grand Rapids, and Leslie (Steve) Ewing of Ludington, as well as several nieces and nephews.  

A private family service is being planned.
