79th District Court arraignments

LUDINGTON – The following were arraigned this past week in front the 79th District Court Magistrate:

–       Corey Alexander Clark, 29, of 916 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was arrested, May 12, by the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT) for a felony of controlled substance, delivery/manufacture. A preliminary exam is set for May 21 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

–       Russell John Masse, 51, of 6565 W. Groth Rd., Ludington, was arrested, May 9, by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for felonies of controlled substance possession, driving while license suspended (DWLS) and habitual offender, fourth conviction. A preliminary exam is set for May 21 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

–       Chad Jason Miller, 43, of 404 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was arrested, May 10, by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of larceny from a person. A preliminary exam is set for May 21 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

–       Enrice Domingo Morin, 19, of 504 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was arrested, May 9, by SSCENT for felonies of controlled substance delivery and habitual offender, third conviction. A preliminary exam is set for May 21 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $10,000/10 percent.

–       Joseph Scott Summerskill, 29, of 7340 E. Scout, Walkerville, was arrested, May 7, by MCSO for a felony of obstruction of justice and habitual offender, third offense. A preliminary exam is set for, May 21, at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent. He was also arrested, May 7, by LPD, for a misdemeanor of second-degree retail fraud. A pretrial is set for, May 16, at 1 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

–       Robert Kenneth Wabsis, Jr., 43, of 1430 S. Walhalla Rd., Walhalla, was arrested, May 7, by MCSO for a felony of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL), third offense; DWLS, second offense; and habitual offender, fourth offense. A preliminary exam is set for, May 21, at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

–       Dean Andrew Nowaczyk, 46, of 6384 Martin Rd., Norton Shores, was arrested, Jan. 1, 2010, by MCSO for two felony counts of criminal sexual conduct (CSC), second degree. A preliminary exam is set for, May 21, at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $15,000/personal.

Misdemeanors

–       Anthony Cortez Jones, 34, of 117 Sauble Dr., Free Soil, was arrested, May 7, by the Michigan State Police, Hart post (MSP-H) for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. A pretrial is set for June 2 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

–       Benjamin James Compeau, 31, of 105 Green St., Scottville, was arrested, May 9, by MCSO for a misdemeanor of third-degree retail fraud. A pretrial is set for June 2 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

–       Nathan Lee Drier, 21, of 3312 E. Johnson Rd., Custer, was arrested, May 11, by MCSO for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. A pretrial is set for June 9 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

–       Carlton Kurt Brower, 52, of 2131 W. US-10, Ludington, was arrested, May 9, by MCSO for a misdemeanor of DWLS. A pretrial is set for June 16 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

–       Troy Alan Highland, 32, of 4791 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was arrested, May 10, by the Scottville Police Department for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. A pretrial is set for June 16 at 9 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

–       Leila Marie Pamame, 27, of 214 E. Melendy St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was arrested, May 12, by MCSO for a misdemeanor of second-degree retail fraud. A pretrial is set for June 2 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

–       Fred Wayne Surplice, 75, of 4672 W. Decker Rd., Ludington, was arrested, May 13, for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. A pretrial is set for June 2 at 10:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

–       Branden Arley Straub, 25, of 179 N. Jebavy Dr., Ludington, was arrested, May 13, by LPD for misdemeanors of operating with a blood alcohol content and operating while intoxicated. A pretrial is set for June 9 at 2:45 p.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.
