GRANT TOWNSHIP — A thief or thieves broke into a cash box at a roadside stand in the 600 block of West Hoague Road and stole money, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The larceny was reported Friday, Aug. 28 at 1:41 p.m. A dollar amount of the cash stolen was not available.

- 10:39 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 67-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for operating while
intoxicated and transporting open intoxicants following a traffic crash, Rath Avenue and Slagle Road, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail. - 2:24 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 south of Koenig Road, Free Soil Township.
- 3:40 p.m., (MCSO), a 21-year-old Branch man was cited for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, southbound US 31 freeway near the Chauvez Road overpass, Pere Marquette Township.
- 6:22 p.m., (MCSO), breaking and entering, 200 block of West State Street, City of Scottville. The victim returned home to find the residence had been broken into.
- 7:38 p.m., (MCSO), a 43-year-old Scottville MI man was arrested on four outstanding warrants, 400 block of North Thomas Street, City of Scottville. Three warrants were criminal bench warrants for failure to appear, and one warrant was for fraud. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 7:49 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, eastbound US 10 off-ramp from northbound US 31, Amber Township.
- 8:23 p.m., (LPD), a 73-year-old Ludington man was arrested on four outstanding warrants issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court, Legacy Plaza, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 9:06 p.m., (LPD), a 39-year-old Muskegon woman was cited for operating without insurance
following a traffic crash, Ludington Avenue and Staffon Street, City of Ludington. - 9:47 p.m., (MCSO), breaking and entering of a garage, 6900 block of West Illinois Road, Hamlin Township.
