Mary Louise (Hinze) Ulrich passed away peacefully at the age of 83 in her sleep on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

Mary was born on June 15, 1942, to Victor and Marjorie (Lewis) Hinze in Wheaton Ill. After graduating from Wheaton Community High School in 1960, Mary worked as a typesetter at Book Binding Company where she provided 30 years of service until 2007. In that time, Mary had two beautiful daughters and lived a life full of laughter, spending their vacations in Pentwater water-skiing, boating and swimming. Her happiness expanded when she was able to fulfill her life-long dream of moving to Michigan in 2013, settling in Ludington where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, gardening, and spending her free time at art and craft shows along with the farmers’ market every Friday.

Mary is survived by her daughter Candie (Couture) Dodson; grandchildren Stephanie (Rezny) Harrison, Leann (Rezny) Templeton and Steven Rezny; four great-grandchildren Remington, Lorelai, Cambria, and Juniper, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her dog Izzy.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Marjorie (Lewis) Hinze; her brothers Philip and David; daughter Melissa (Couture) Rezny; and husband Rudi Ulrich.
