LUDINGTON — Men Who Care of Mason County will hold its next quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at People’s Church, 115 W. Loomis St. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.
Founded in 2025, Men Who Care of Mason County brings together local men to support Mason County nonprofit organizations through a simple giving model. During each quarterly meeting, members nominate local 501(c)(3) organizations for consideration. Three organizations are selected at random to give five-minute presentations, followed by a brief question-and-answer session. Members then cast secret ballots to determine the recipient of the group’s collective donation. Each participant pledges $50 to the organization selected by the membership.
The organization’s most recent donation benefited Hand 2 Hand, a program of Mason County Reformed Church that provides food and essential supplies to children and families in the Mason County Central and Mason County Eastern school districts. Fifty-five members contributed to a total donation of $3,150 after Hand 2 Hand was selected during the group’s May meeting.
Men interested in becoming members or learning more about the organization are encouraged to attend Tuesday’s meeting.
