Several Ludington streets to close for paving next week

July 30, 2026

LUDINGTON — Several residential streets on Ludington’s south side will be temporarily closed Monday, Aug. 3, as the City of Ludington completes paving and resurfacing work.

The project is scheduled to begin at approximately 6:30 a.m. Monday and is expected to be completed the same day, weather permitting.

The affected streets include:

  • Woodlawn Street, from Monona Drive to Sherman Street.
  • Elder Lane, from Woodlawn Street to the cul-de-sac.
  • Kenowa Drive, from Woodlawn Street to Seminole Drive.
  • Manitou Lane, from Monona Drive to the cul-de-sac.

Motorists should expect temporary lane shifts, lane closures and street segment closures while crews are working. Access to homes will be maintained, and traffic control signage will be posted throughout the project area.

On-street parking for vehicles and trailers will be prohibited on the affected streets through Tuesday, Aug. 4. City officials encourage motorists to use alternate routes when possible to reduce congestion, minimize delays and improve worker safety.

Residents with questions about the project may contact the City of Ludington Department of Public Works at 231-843-2873.
