PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Pere Marquette Highway, south of US 10, Tuesday, July 21, around 3:40 p.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
An 81-year-old Belmont, Mich. man, who was a driver, was injured in the crash, along with his passengers, who were a 78-year-old Belmont woman and 53-year-old Rockford, Mich. woman. They were all injured after the driver attempted a left turn into a private drive and were struck by a vehicle operated by a 30-year-old Ludington man, said Sheriff Cole. That driver received minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The other three were treated at Corewell Health Ludington Hospital, said Cole.

- 3:28 p.m., (MCSO), a 22-year-old Baldwin man was arrested on two outstanding criminal bench warrants,, US 10 and Tyndall Road, Branch Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Tuesday, July 21, 2026:
- 8:16 a.m, (MCSO), a 53-year-old Muskegon woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants for possession of dangerous drugs and a criminal bench warrant issued in Mason County, 700 block of South Madison Street, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 2:29 p.m., (MCSO), a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding Manistee County criminal bench warrant for contempt of court, 400 block of South Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Wednesday, July 22, 2026:
- 4:57 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 43-year-old Ludington man was contacted in reference to illegal camping, 500 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. He was found to be in violation of his probation and arrested. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
