SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — The Fin & Feather Club of Mason County will host a concealed pistol license (CPL) class and a Michigan Department of Natural Resources hunter safety class during August at the club, 3276 N. Darr Rd.
The CPL class will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 7-8. The Friday session will take place from 6 to 9 p.m., followed by an all-day session on Saturday.
The cost is $50 for club members and $100 for non-members. Participants must register in advance. To register, contact Jim Glover at 231-907-8330.
The club will also host a hunter safety class Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15-16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
There is no cost to attend the hunter safety class. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Registration is required and must be completed through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Hunter Education registration system. Participants should visit the DNR Michigan Hunter Safety Classes webpage, select “Event Programs (Kalkomey),” then “Hunter Education Traditional Courses,” and locate the Aug. 15-16 Fin & Feather Club class to register.
Children age 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
