Ludington utility projects will cause street closures this week

July 6, 2026

LUDINGTON — The City of Ludington will begin two roadway utility repair projects this week that are expected to cause temporary traffic disruptions in different parts of the city.

Beginning Tuesday, July 7, at 8 a.m., the City of Ludington Utility Maintenance Department will perform temporary repairs to sanitary sewer and water utility structures at the intersection of Robert and Haight streets. Then, beginning Thursday, July 9, at 8 a.m., crews will begin repairing storm catch basin and roadway structures on Conrad Industrial Drive. During both projects, motorists and nearby residents may experience temporary lane closures or road closures, traffic delays, reduced parking availability and increased construction activity. City officials said access to homes and businesses will be maintained whenever possible.

Motorists are being advised to use caution when traveling through the construction zones, obey all posted traffic control devices and allow extra travel time while work is underway. Officials said the repairs are part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the city’s infrastructure and thanked the public for its patience and cooperation. For additional information, contact the City of Ludington Utility Maintenance Department at 231-843-2873.
