RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 72-year-old Pharr, Texas man received minor injuries after he reportedly fell asleep while driving; crossed the centerline; and struck a mailbox on Scottville Road south of Chauvez Road Saturday, July 4, shortly before 6:30 p.m., said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

- 8:29 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Stiles Road, Amber Township.
- 3:16 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, First Street east of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
Saturday, July 4, 2026:
- 6:53 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Washington Road east of Brye Road, Riverton Township.
- Noon, damaged property, Washington and Morton road. A person in a side-by-side tore through hay and corn fields.
- 12:32 p.m., alarm activation, Hamlin Township.
Sunday, July 5, 2026:
- 4:20 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 north of Free Soil Road, Free Soil Township.
- 5:43 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of Oceana Drive, Summit Township.
- 9:53 p.m., alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
