KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Twelve Flipstar Gymnastics athletes brought home 41 national medals, including 12 top-three podium finishes, one national championship, five national runner-up titles and three Junior Olympic Games qualifiers while competing at the 2026 AAU National Championships.

The championships, held June 18-21 at the Knoxville Convention Center, attracted more than 3,500 gymnasts from across the United States.

Leading the way for Flipstar were Abby Dodson and Noah Moul, who each earned all-around national runner-up honors in their respective divisions. Dodson finished second in the Xcel Platinum all-around, while Moul claimed runner-up in the Boys 4×4 Level 1 all-around competition.

Moul also captured the national championship on circles/support with a score of 9.75. He added a runner-up finish on vault along with third- and sixth-place event medals. Dodson earned the national runner-up title on floor exercise and added two fifth-place event finishes.

Moul and Dodson also qualified for the AAU National Team and will compete at the Junior Olympic Games in Iowa in August after recording top-10 scores among all competitors in their levels, regardless of age division.

Colton Carter also qualified for the Junior Olympic Games after placing fifth in the Boys 4×4 Level 1 all-around. Carter earned a third-place finish on support/circles and added fifth-, sixth- and eighth-place event medals.

In the Xcel Silver division, Nola Randle earned a national runner-up finish on balance beam and a third-place medal on floor exercise while placing sixth in the all-around. Porter Lane placed fourth in the all-around after earning a third-place finish on balance beam and a fourth-place event finish. Olivia Machen and Kimber Carter also earned top-10 all-around finishes, placing ninth and 10th, respectively, in their age divisions.

Flipstar Head Team Coach and Co-Owner Aimee Goff said Carter’s performance was especially inspiring after spending several months recovering from a serious illness.

“We were so proud of Kimber being able to even compete in this meet,” Goff said. “She was hospitalized and has been very sick the past several months and only recently has been able to begin a slow comeback to practice. We petitioned her to this meet hoping she would be able to compete on at least an event or two and she was able to compete on all events.”

Goff said the national championships provided an unforgettable experience for the team, with every Flipstar gymnast competing at nationals for the first time.

“We could not be more proud of these Flipstar gymnasts all competing in their first Nationals competition with the best from all around the country,” Goff said. “Not only did they earn some great medals and awards, but they made new friends and it was a great experience for all. We are very thankful to all of these families for making the trip to Tennessee to give these kids this awesome experience.”

Moul, Dodson and Carter will represent Flipstar at the Junior Olympic Games in Iowa in August.
