Shelby State Bank adds four to lending, wealth advisory teams

Kenneth Sommerdyke

SHELBY — Shelby State Bank has added four professionals to its lending and wealth advisory teams, including a senior commercial lender, two mortgage lenders and a financial advisor associate.

Kenneth Sommerdyke joined the bank as executive vice president and senior lender. He brings experience in commercial lending, customer relations and lending team development.

Kevin Dooley

Kevin Dooley joined the bank as a mortgage lender. He has 30 years of mortgage lending and underwriting experience and has spent his career serving the West Michigan market.

Jeremy Swartz

Jeremy Swartz rejoined Shelby State Bank as a mortgage lender. Swartz previously served as branch manager of the bank’s Manistee office. He and Dooley will support mortgage lending operations in Oceana and Mason counties.

Charles Brody

Charles Brody joined Shelby State Bank and Parallel Wealth Advisors as a financial advisor associate. Brody holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Grand Valley State University and will support the organization’s wealth advisory services.

The additions expand the bank’s commercial lending, mortgage lending and wealth management operations throughout its service area.
