LUDINGTON — Ludington police officers made several alcohol-related arrests over the weekend, including operating while intoxicated, urinating in public, public intoxication, and a person who was allegedly intoxicated and damaging property and assaulting people, according to Ludington Police Chief Chris Jones.
The following is Ludington Police Department activity over the weekend:
Friday, June 19, 2026:
- 9:35 a.m., a 50-year-old Ludington man cited for driving without a valid license, Bryant Road and Rath Avenue, City of Ludington.
- 6:24 p.m., a 59-year-old Walkerville woman was cited for driving without insurance, Dowland and Madison streets, City of Ludington.
Saturday, June 20, 2026:
- 12:28 a.m., a 29-year-old Sterling Heights man was arrested for operating while under the influence of alcohol/drugs after being stopped for a traffic violation in the area of Loomis and Rowe streets, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 2:19 a.m., a 27-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while under the influence of alcohol/drugs after being stopped for a traffic violation in the area of Washington Avenue and Water Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 1:20 pm, a 62-year-old Mason, Ohio man was arrested for urinating in public, Stearns Beach, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 9:27 p.m., a 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested for public intoxication, 200 block of South James Street, City of Ludington. “The subject was highly intoxicated and could not properly care for himself,” said Chief Jones. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 10:22 p.m., a 40-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault after officers responded to a reported disturbance, 700 block of East Filer Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Sunday, June 21, 2026:
- 1:57 a.m., a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of West Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. A 41-year-old Ludington man, who was the passenger, was arrested on a felony warrant for drug offenses. “A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed cocaine and paraphernalia,” said Chief Jones. The driver, who is a 29-year-old Fountain woman, and the passenger were arrested for drug offenses. They were lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 6:23 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance, 200 block of North Harrison Street, City of Ludington. “Upon arrival, officers contacted several subjects who were advising that a 29-year- old male from Ludington was intoxicated, damaging property, and assaulting people.” said Chief Jones. He was arrested for assault and lodged in the Mason County Jail.
