Kenneth McCarthy

Kenneth Lee McCarthy, 68, of Ludington, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026 after a brief illness. He was born Feb. 10, 1958, in Ludington, the son of David and Elizabeth (Apple) McCarthy.

Ken was very loyal and generous to those he loved and called friends and he made friends wherever he went.  He loved a good adventure, whether traveling on Route 66 or taking a tropical cruise with his brother Terry and friend Russ, or hitting up an amusement park like Cedar Point or King’s Island with his son Josh.  Rollercoasters were his favorite!

Faith was important to Ken as well even if he was not a frequent church-goer.  He lived his life with faith and love for God.  He believed and trusted in God to guide his life and beyond.

Ken is survived and will be missed by his son Joshua; wife Christina; his parents Dave and Liz; brother Terry and wife Mary; brother David “Mike” and wife Debbie; and sister Deb and husband Terry Schweitzer.  He was also loved by his nieces and nephews Rick, Andrea, Valarie, Chandra, Stephanie, Brian J, and Brian S, and their significant others.

Ken was preceded in death by his niece Kailey; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, with Father Mick Shriver officiating.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
