HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — The Jebavy Drive Bridge will close to all traffic beginning June 1 as the Mason County Road Commission begins a preventative maintenance and rehabilitation project expected to continue through Aug. 1.
The detour route will use Jagger Road, M-116 and Bryant Road, according to the road commission.
The $350,000 project will include replacement of the bridge expansion joint, beam repairs, guardrail repairs and an epoxy overlay on the concrete bridge deck intended to extend the structure’s lifespan.
Officials said the bridge is expected to remain closed from June 1 through June 19. The bridge is anticipated to reopen temporarily during a 28-day concrete cure period from mid-June through the July 4 holiday weekend. The bridge will then close again beginning July 8 for approximately two additional weeks.
The project’s final completion date is scheduled for Aug. 1, according to the Mason County Road Commission.
