51st Circuit Court sentences, published May 20, 2026

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Batterson

Zayne Orion Batterson, 24, pleaded no contest March 24, 2026 to assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, domestic violence, assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and fleeing a police officer and was sentenced May 19, 2026 to concurrent prison terms of 34 to 120 months; 12 months; 16 to 24 months; and 23 to 60 months. Batterson was ordered to pay $384 in fines and costs. A second count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and one count of interfering with electronic communications were dismissed. 

Benyo

Alys Jean Benyo, 38, pleaded guilty June 10, 2025 to methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and third-offense habitual offender and was sentenced May 12, 2026 to nine months in jail with credit for 29 days served; three years probation; and $598 in fines and costs. One misdemeanor count of open intoxicants in a vehicle was dismissed.

 

Sharonda Kae Wilson, 36, pleaded no contest March 24, 2026 to assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and was sentenced May 19, 2026 to 13 days in jail with credit for 13 days served; two years probation; and $658 in fines and costs.

Goshe

Brianna Marie Goshe, 26, pleaded guilty March 24, 2026 to stealing/retaining a financial transaction device and was sentenced May 19, 2026 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs.

Jansen

Lindsey Marie Jansen, 32, pleaded guilty March 24, 2026 to embezzlement $1,000-$20,000 and was sentenced May 19, 2026 to three days in jail with credit for three days served; three years probation; $2,044.45 in restitution; and $658 in fines and costs.

Anthony

Destinee Linda Anthony, 26, pleased guilty March 24, 2026 to third-degree child abuse and was sentenced May 19, 2026 to three days in jail with credit for three days served; two years probation; and $458 in fines and costs.

Johnson

Kara Melody Johnson, 75, pleaded no contest Dec. 2, 2025 to third-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced May 19, 2026 to 30 days in jail with credit for three days served; two years probation; and $1,033 in fines and costs.
