STATE NATURAL RIVER ZONING REVIEW BOARD
PERE MARQUETTE RIVER
Notice is hereby given that the Michigan Department of Natural Resources State Natural River Zoning Review Board will hold a public hearing on the following variance applications:
Lisha Curry and Michael Bennett (File No. PM2026012V), property located at 6489 S. Taylor Rd., Logan Township, Mason County, are requesting a dimensional variance consisting of a 118-foot reduction in setback requirements and a variance to modify a legal non-conforming driveway from gravel to pavement.
Matt Walsh (File No. PM2026011V), property located at 344 E. 32nd St., Cherry Valley Township, Lake County, is requesting a dimensional variance to construct a covered porch near the Baldwin River, including a 130-foot reduction in setback requirements and a 42 percent increase in covered ground floor area.
The public hearing will be held Monday, June 15, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at the Lake County Historical Museum. The hearing is open to the public and a virtual attendance option is available.
