Brynn Castillo
Brynn Leigh Castillo, 12, of Ludington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She was born on June 17, 2013, in Ludington.
Brynn was a seventh-grade student at O.J. DeJonge Middle School. She was the brightest light in every room she entered — beautiful, kind, funny, and full of life. Brynn loved fiercely and made lasting impressions on everyone who knew her. She enjoyed coloring her hair bright colors, doing her nails, and spending time with friends as the true social butterfly she was. Her beautiful eyes and radiant smile were among her most memorable features. Brynn was the brightest spark in the world, and now the brightest star in the sky.
Even in passing, Brynn’s light continues to shine through the gift of organ donation. Through Gift of Life Michigan, she was able to help others and leave behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and hope.
She is survived by her mother, Crystal; her father, Tony; and her stepmother, Nicole “Nicky.” She is also survived by her siblings, Ayden (Ann), Kayla (Marcus), Rilyn, and Henry; her step-siblings, Joshua, Aria, and Roman Frees; her maternal grandmother, Julie Shaw; paternal grandparents, Ray and Kim Castillo; great-grandmothers, Patsy Jarvie and Alice Castillo; step-grandmother, Brenda McKimmy; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved her deeply.
Brynn was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, “Papa” Harold Shaw; paternal grandmother, Cindy Jarvie; great-grandfather “Noggins” Jarvie; and great-grandfather Castillo.
A celebration of Brynn’s life will be held on her birthday, June 17, 2026. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been confirmed.
Arrangements were entrusted to Grace Funeral Home and Cremation Services, www.GraceCremations.com.
