LUDINGTON — Ludington wrapped up conference play Friday at the West Michigan Conference Tournament, finishing one point behind North Muskegon and securing a share of the conference championship after winning the dual portion of the league schedule earlier this season.
The Orioles had three flight champions at the tournament, led by Khloe Wachowski at No. 4 singles. Ludington also claimed titles at No. 1 doubles with Kristi Killips and Ella Micka, and at No. 2 doubles with Kennedy Feyers and Lydia Kwietniewski.
Ludington also earned runner-up finishes from Ava Johnson at No. 1 singles, Amaya Sytek and Maggie Tang at No. 3 doubles, and Madeline Erndteman and Chloe Vangills at No. 4 doubles.
“I thought we played well in the tournament,” Ludington Coach Rob Killips said. “We were in some very tough matches and dropped a few very close matches as well. I was proud of how the team played.”
