LUDINGTON — Ten Ludington High School seniors have been selected by their classmates as finalists for the Class of 2026 All-Around Senior Award, continuing a long-standing tradition within Ludington Area School District.
The finalists are Walton Autrey, Ava Carlson, Amelia Hatch, Luke Kwietniewski, Lydia Kwietniewski, Ian Lundberg, Madilyn Lynn, Colin Shelton, Lilly Slater and Logan Sloan.
“This is such a great group of students,” said LHS Principal Steve Forsberg. “They represent everything that it means to be an Oriole. In this group you have athletes, performers, they are all great scholars, wonderful artists and musicians.”
Forsberg said the recognition reflects both the students’ accomplishments and their character.
“Being recognized by your peers is a significant honor,” he said. “These students have shown dedication to our school and serve as role models for the entire student body. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the leadership they provide.”
The All-Around Senior is selected by LHS staff from the 10 finalists and will be announced Thursday, May 14, during the school’s Senior Awards Assembly.
The tradition of the All-Around Senior at Ludington High School dates back to 1938 when Joseph R. Lewis received the inaugural honor. The award has been presented annually with the exception of 1941.
