VICTORY TOWNSHIP – The West Shore Community College Art Department is hosting the 28th annual Regional High School Art Exhibition in the college’s Manierre Dawson Gallery. Student artwork will be displayed through May 22.
Sponsored by the WSCC Foundation and the WSCC Art Department, this year’s exhibition focuses on celebrating local student talent.
Area high schools were invited to enter student work in digital formats such as short films, animations, ad campaigns, digital photographs, digital audio, business branding, graphic images and slideshows.
“This year, we are hosting Mason County Eastern High School, Brethren High School, Pentwater High School, Summit CTE Multimedia program, and Summit CTE Graphic Design program,” said WSCC Professor of Art Eden Ünlüata-Foley. “We developed this exhibition with a focus on digital media. This includes student artwork created with digital tools as well as artwork that was digitized. This exhibition offers a glimpse into the fresh perspectives youth are bringing through these digital tools.”
The Manierre Dawson Gallery is located in the Arts and Sciences Center. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
