TRAVERSE CITY — Ludington High School’s varsity boys and girls track teams turned in a solid showing against larger schools at the Ken Bell Invite in Traverse City.
Walt Autrey led the Orioles with a first-place finish in the shot put, recording a winning throw of 54 feet, 6 inches. The boys 3200-meter relay team of Oliver Kolb, Micha Theis, Tyler Keiller and Raymond Karboski placed third while posting their fastest time of the season.
Keiller also had a strong individual performance, finishing second in the large school division of the 400-meter dash.
On the girls side, the 800-meter relay team of Arlette Embury, Riley Smith, Saviera Moser and Ava Gutowski placed fifth.
Despite chilly conditions, Ludington athletes recorded numerous personal-best performances throughout the meet, according to Coach John Lipa.
