Rene and Larry James
Rene Annette James, 66, of Ludington, passed away on Saturday April 25, 2026. She was reunited with her beloved husband and soulmate, Larry James, who preceded her in death.
Born on Sept. 15, 1960, in Edmore, Rene was the daughter of the late LJ and Georganna (Ariss) Moore. She was known for her outgoing personality and her love for life.
Rene graduated from Ludington High School in 1978 and went on to earn an associate degree in business from West Shore Community College. Her career was marked by a commitment to the principles she learned through her education and her natural interpersonal skills.
An avid reader, Rene also had a passion for painting and gardening, which were sources of great joy and relaxation for her. She cherished her dogs, who were constant companions in her life’s journey.
Rene is survived by her loving children, Jason (Stacey) James, Stacy (Marc) Johnson, and Cory (Crystal Walkley) James; siblings Laural (Charles) Allsion, Sherry (Thomas) Lange, and Cindi (Rick Swiger) Porter. She was a proud grandmother to Gabrielle and Brady Johnson, London James, and Dale and Gabe Collins.
A celebration of Rene’s life will be held at a later date.
