LUDINGTON – The Orioles traveled to Manistee Monday on a white hot three game winning streak. The momentum carried on into the match, as the Orioles defeated the Mariners in an 8-0 shutout.
Hestyn Stowe led the offense with a hat trick, while Eloise Kwietniewski was not far behind with two goals. Claire Kieth, Eva Hatch and Gillian Moser added the other three goals in a dominant offensive performance. Assisting those players were Grace Forfinski (3), Hestyn Stowe (2), Leeahna Veeneman and Eloise Kwietniewski.
Kaia Jones and Cambria Britton notched the shutout for the Orioles, with Jones recording the save on the Mariners’ lone shot.
The Orioles remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0 and have an overall record of 7-5-1. Ludington will next play three conference games, the first of which is scheduled for next week.
