Obituary: Lavern Donald Sobieralskim, 85, of Ludington

Lavern Donald Sobieralskim, 85, of Ludington, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

He was born on September 15, 1940, to Joseph and Olga Sobieralski. He was the youngest of three boys.

In 1970 he met the love of his life, Anna Mae Kirkbride. Together they raised their family and shared 55 wonderful years.

He was a lifelong dairy farmer and had a passion for coon hunting. His love for playing the concertina took him around the surrounding counties playing polka music. Lavern’s laughter echoed around a card table surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Anna; children Helen (Karl) Gratriex, Frank (Amy) Sobieralski, and Dave (Christina) Sobieralski; his grandchildren Dylan (Mishell), Joseph, and Lillian; his great-grandchildren Noah, Patricia, and Dakotah; and other family and friends.

Lavern was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
