Manistee Catholic Central Schools Foundation offering scholarships

MANISTEE — The Manistee Catholic Central Schools Foundation has announced the 2026 Doris and Ed Polcyn Graduate Scholarship, offering financial support to alumni continuing their education.

Alumni of Manistee Catholic Central School who are enrolled full- or part-time in undergraduate or graduate programs at accredited colleges or universities, as well as those attending accredited trade schools or registered apprenticeship programs, are eligible to apply.

Several scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 will be awarded to qualified applicants. Recipients will be selected by the MCCSF Scholarship Selection Committee, with final approval from the foundation’s board of trustees.

The scholarship honors Doris and Ed Polcyn, whose Catholic faith and commitment to service were central to their lives. Doris Polcyn served on the Pastoral Council of Divine Mercy Parish and was a former trustee of the Manistee Catholic Central Schools Foundation Board. She was also active in volunteering for civic, school and parish events.

Applicants are required to submit a letter of application along with supporting materials outlined on the website. A member of the foundation’s board will contact applicants within five to 10 business days to acknowledge receipt or respond to inquiries. The selection process may include an interview conducted in person, by phone or via Zoom.

The application deadline is May 22, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be notified by June 8, 2026.
