Nancy Anderson
Nancy Joanne Anderson, 82, of Ludington, left this world unexpectedly but peacefully in the comfort of her home to enter into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Born on September 15, 1943, in Ludington, Nancy lived a life marked by grace and kindness and a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. Her walk with the Lord shaped the way she loved others, served her community, and faced life’s joys and challenges with grace.
Nancy devoted many years to her work as a librarian, a role that perfectly reflected her lifelong love of books, learning, and sharing knowledge with others. She found deep joy in helping people discover new stories, new ideas, and the beauty of the written word. Music was another of her great loves, filling her home and heart with comfort and inspiration throughout her life.
Nancy also delighted in the simple wonders of God’s creation. She loved watching butterflies drift through her garden, found peace in observing the birds, deer, and bunnies that visited her yard, and loved to linger at the beach, finding joy in the beauty of Lake Michigan and the sunsets. These quiet moments in nature were a reflection of her gentle spirit and her gratitude for the world God made.
Above all, Nancy was devoted to her family. She poured her heart into caring for those she loved, offering encouragement, wisdom, and unwavering support. Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them was evident in every season of her life.
Nancy is survived by: her husband, James A. Anderson; her daughter, JoAnne (Philip) Bronikowski; her son, Mark Anderson; her grandson, Colby Anderson; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Rambasek. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with loved ones in God’s eternal care.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard “Pin” and Henrietta (Tanis) Laird; and her brother, Richard Laird.
