OTSEGO — Ludington Sophomore Sawyer Bishop qualified for the Michigan High School Athletic Association state finals with a fifth place finish at the Regional 9 diving competition on Thursday, March 6, 2026 at Otsego High School. The top 16 finishers advance to the state finals to be held at the Holland Aquatic Center on March 13 and 14. Bishop scored 357.05 points for his 11 dive list.
Bishop will join seven of his teammates at the MHSAA Division Three State Finals to be held at the Holland Aquatic Center next weekend. The Ludington Swim and Dive team has qualified athletes in every event for the State Finals. “We are not aware of another Ludington Swim and Dive team that has qualified in every event for the final meet.” Said Coach Susan Sniegowski. Each competitor is limited to four events total with no more than two individual events.
The qualifiers for Ludington Swim and Dive are:
- 200 Medley Relay: Jaden Vronko, Ian Lundberg, Dylan Sniegowski, Grady Sailor.
- 200 Freestyle: Dylan Sniegowski
- 200 Individual Medley: Ian Lundberg and Dylan Sniegowski
- 50 Freestyle: Grady Sailor
- Diving: Sawyer Bishop
- 100 Butterfly: Dylan Sniegowski
- 100 Freestyle: Grady Sailor
- 500 Freestyle: Dylan Sniegowski
- 200 Freestyle Relay: Dylan Sniegowski, JadenVronko, Ian Lundberg, Grady Sailor. Alternates Nolan Jorissen and Evan Hansen
- 100 Backstroke: Jaden Vronko
- 100 Breaststroke: Ian Lundberg
- 400 Freestyle Relay: Dylan Sniegowski, Jaden Vronko, Ian Lundberg, Grady Sailor. Alternates Easton Warners, Evan Hansen and Nolan Jorissen.
