Daniel Astrowski
Daniel Vito Astrowski, 96, of Ludington, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
Daniel was born on March 14, 1929, in Chicago, the son of the late Jospeh and Lillian Astrowski. He attended Kelly High School in Chicago. Daniel married Doris “Dori” Shafer on June 25, 1954, at the Scottville United Methodist Church.
Daniel worked at C&O Railway for 20 years and worked for the City of Ludington for 28 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children, Brenda Trehaggen of Grand Rapids, Suzette Baedke of Detroit, Daniel Astrowski of Texas, Kandi Batts of Oklahoma City, and Kina Astrowski of Texas; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Astrauskas and Larry Astrauskas; and sister, Marcella Hegland.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Astrowski; sisters-in-law, Millie Astrauskas and Kay Astrauskas.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at noon at Calvary Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. at the church.
