The following is recent police activity in Mason County:
Monday, Jan. 12, 2026:
- 1:24 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, Benson Road south of Hansen Road, Branch Township.
- 9:49 a.m., (MCSO), a 28-year-old Muskegon woman turned herself in to the Mason County Jail on an outstanding Mason County felony drug warrant for delivery of cocaine, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 2:55 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, minor injury, US 10 and Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
- 4:37 p.m., (MCSO), retail fraud, Ludington Express Mart, West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. It was reported that four electronic vapes were stolen.
- 5:46 p.m., (MCSO), breaking and entering, 6400 block of West Virnetta Drive, Pere Marquette Township. A 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested following a call of a break-in to a residence. The caller had knowledge of the suspect, who was located by Ludington police officers shortly after the break-in was reported. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026:
- 12:42 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 31-year-old Fountain man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, driving without a license, and open intoxicants, 500 block of East Dowland Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
