
Ludington Coats and Boots received $5,000.
LUDINGTON — JCI Ludington (formerly the Ludington Area Jaycees) recently awarded grants to eight local non-profit organizations. The funds were raised through sales at the Ludington Area Jaycees’ Mini Golf located at Stearns Park.
Organizations receiving grants included:
- Custer VFW Gold Post #5096 Auxiliary, $1,000 toward an American with Disabilities Act-compliant restroom renovation.
- Staircase Youth Services, $1,000 toward conducting family activity nights at which one of the events will be hosted at the Ludington Jaycees Mini Golf Course/Patio during the summer of 2026.
- Sandcastles Children’s Museum, $1,500 to extend its programming for toddlers, babies, and their parents/caregivers.
- Hand2Hand, $1,500 for providing Mason County Central and Mason County Eastern students a backpack filled with supplemental weekend food.
- PoWeR! Book Bags, $2,000 to provide new books to children while their families shop at the Lakeshore Food Club.
- Caritas Food Pantry in Custer, $2,350 toward new entryway flooring.
- Oriole Giving Tree, $2,650.
- Ludington Coats and Boots, $5,000 to provide Mason County students who need assistance to obtain durable winter attire.
