VICTORY TOWNSHIP — West Shore Community College is inviting members of the community to jump-start their New Year’s fitness goals with a free week of fitness classes, beginning Monday, Jan. 5, at the college’s Recreation Center.
From Jan. 5 through Jan. 11, community members are welcome to try a variety of group fitness classes at no cost. The free week allows participants to sample classes before the paid session officially begins. A full schedule of available classes, including class names, days, times and official start dates for the paid portion, is available online at the college’s recreation app page, https://qrco.de/beGFLe
In addition to free classes, the entire WSCC Recreation Center — including the gymnasium, weight room and wellness center — will be open to the public at no cost on Jan. 5. The open-access day is designed as a New Year’s resolution fitness kickoff, offering an opportunity for individuals and families to explore the facility and begin building healthy routines for 2026.
“This free week is a great way for people to try something new, reconnect with fitness, and see everything our Rec Center has to offer,” said Julie Page-Smith, director of wellness center. “Whether you prefer group classes or independent workouts, we want to make it easy for everyone to start the year feeling strong and supported.”
No registration or membership is required to participate during the free week. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable workout attire and bring a water bottle and a mat.
