WSCC News is a presentation of West Shore Community College in partnership with Mason County Press.
LUDINGTON — West Shore Community College’s HumanKind Series will present “Healing through Story and the Science of Sharing” on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Mason County District Library Ludington, 217 E. Ludington Ave. The free program invites community members to explore the transformative power of storytelling as a path toward healing, connection, and personal growth.
The evening will feature Dr. John Moore, WSCC professor of psychology, who will lead participants through an inspiring and interactive session on how writing and speaking about difficult experiences can foster resilience. Drawing from both scientific insight and practical experience, Dr. Moore will discuss why sharing our stories matters and how self-expression can help individuals process trauma, reduce stress, and strengthen emotional well-being.
HumanKind is WSCC’s arts and culture lecture series, offering a wide range of programming, including presentations, workshops, film screenings, art exhibitions and performing arts events. For more information on upcoming HumanKind events, visit the westshore.edu or email humankind@westshore.edu.
